Many marketers in this decade realize that a smartphone is the best channel to reach your target audience. In an effort to engage movie goers and revive one of the most successful horror film brands, RINGS, Paramount Pictures collaborated with TimePlay to release an interactive trailer.

The concept is moviegoers devices are transformed into fright detectors and the audience determines the most frightening scenes as the trailer is running. A meter is shown on screen so everyone can see which parts are the scariest. Then, at the end of the trailer audiences get an unexpected call on their device.

This thrilling experience is playing at Bow Tie Cinemas and Emagine Theaters until February 2nd.
