Meet the Team

351ceb1Jon is the founder of TimePlay Entertainment, the Chief Executive Officer and spearheads the global sales strategies for the company. In 1996 Jon co-founded and was CEO of Playdium Entertainment Corporation “Playdium”, a leader in developing and operating high-end interactive entertainment centers.

Jon raised more than $120 million to grow the business as a start up to over 50 locations and over 1000 employees. He formed partnerships with Sega Japan, Viacom’s Famous Players cinemas, IMAX Corporation and several NBA and NHL teams, among others. His shareholders included Sega of Japan, GameWorks (whose shareholders were Universal and DreamWorks).

351ceb1Before joining TimePlay, Mr. Blumenfeld was CTO of an Augmented Reality startup GlobaliveXmg. Previously, Steven was CTO at Sportvision,  the “ Yellow Line” innovator of sports and entertainment products

Steven was also acting CTO at Participant Media / Takepart.com.  PM is a Hollywood studio that produces such movies as The Help, Good Night and Good Luck, Inconvenient Truth, and Lincoln.

Current Tv, Al Gore’s news and information source, tapped Steven as CTO to build and operate its first of a kind IP broadcast facility with outlets in the US, UK, Ireland and Italy.

As Vice President of Technology at Time Warner, Mr Blumenfeld had responsibilities for media technologies and technical due diligence for investments

As Chief Technology Officer of AOL’s Spinner and Nullsoft (Winamp/SHOUTcast) division.  He was integral in the success of both Streaming and Download operations and increasing the user base from 20 million to approx 60 million.

As Vice President of Technology  at GTE ( now Verizon), he created 1st of a kind interactive multimedia post production facilities,  started the first MPEG service bureau and was also responsible for  private high speed global interconnect services to the Entertainment Industry, Online Multiplayer Game development group, and lead for various Americast initiatives (GTE, BellSouth, SBC, Ameritech, SNET, Disney Joint Venture).

3b74373Mr. Joseph Peixoto, also known as Joe, has been President of Worldwide Cinema at RealD Inc. since 2005. Mr. Peixoto served as President of Worldwide Cinema at REAL ID 3D. Mr. Peixoto has 30 years of experience working directly in the cinema industry. In this position, Mr. Peixoto manages relationships with exhibitors, studios and content creators. Mr. Peixoto is also responsible for growing REAL D’s cinematic footprint globally toward its goal of converting more than 1,000 theaters to REAL D theaters by 2007. Mr. Peixoto is a recognized innovator in the entertainment industry known for advocating the application of technology for the purposes of advancing movie-going experiences. In 1999, Mr. Peixoto’s achievements were recognized by Cinema Expo International when he was named “International Exhibitor of the Year” for his contributions to the industry, particularly his instrumental role in converting exhibitors from analog to digital cinema. Having a passion for the role of technology in entertainment, Mr. Peixoto envisions wide-ranging applications for REAL D’s technology, including premium delivery of digital 3D movies, alternative programming, high-impact advertising and more. Mr. Peixoto joined REAL D from United Cinemas International (UCI) where he served as president and chief executive officer. As one of the largest cinema chains in Europe and Asia, Mr. Peixoto oversaw all facets of operations in UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Brazil and Taiwan. During his tenure at UCI, Mr. Peixoto led the expansion to 12 territories operating more than 1,100 screens. Prior to UCI, Mr. Peixoto was president of Famous Players, the leading Canadian-based theater chain. Among his accomplishments at Famous Players was the upgrade of the theater sites to modern multiplex circuits with innovative design features and a focus on retail. Under Mr. Peixoto’s leadership, Famous Players significantly increased market share and cash flow for owner Paramount/Viacom.
1e3626eMr. Séguin is a bilingual seasoned executive with twenty years of CFO experience with software technology companies. Mr. Séguin has substantial experience in building global technology companies, managing change, operational control and problem solving, investor relations, fund raising, corporate governance and regulatory compliance, and strategic planning to drive organizational effectiveness.

Mr. Séguin has been the CFO public companies WellPoint Systems (TSXV.WPS), Certicom Corp (TSX.CIC, Nasdaq.CERT), Promis Systems (TSX.PSW) and Infocast Corporation (NYOTCBB). More recently, Mr. Séguin was CFO of SeaWell Networks, a VC backed late stage start-up, until sold to Arris Group in April 2014.

During his tenure at these various companies, Mr. Séguin was a business partner to profitably grow the business’ operations, and successfully carried out several rounds of public and private financing. In doing so, Mr. Séguin developed a solid positive relationship with the investment community and developed a strong working relationship with senior management and Boards of Directors to foster a more effective and efficient board/management relationship.

Mr. Séguin is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and a Certified General Accountant.

037126eGary Johns has 17 years of experience in the cinema industry. He was most recently with Convergent Media Systems, where he was Vice President of Sales & Business Development. Prior to Convergent, Gary was a 30-year veteran of Sony Corporation, where he held a number of executive positions in the U.S. and Europe. As Senior Vice President of Sony Digital Cinema Systems, he led his team to a 35% market share of the U.S. digital cinema market, with over 12,000 projectors and servers installed. Previously, he was President & COO of Sony Cinema Products Corporation, a worldwide organization that provided high quality digital sound systems (SDDS) to motion picture exhibitors. Earlier roles within Sony were in the broadcast, production, corporate and government markets.

095718f Aaron has diverse experience leading a variety of big brands spanning retail, consumer goods, entertainment and gaming. After starting his career at Loblaw Companies, Aaron spent several years at Unilever in Canada and the U.S., leading the company’s flagship Dove Masterbrand as well as its Hair Care category. In 2003, Aaron moved to the gaming industry to launch the billion-dollar Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort, building the brand from the inside out and delivering 10 million annual consumer visits.

Aaron joined TimePlay in 2006 as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. In his role as Vice President of Marketing, Aaron oversees all aspects of consumer interactions, working closely with developers, venue operators and brand partners to create content and programs that deliver the optimal experience.

LG John has 14 years of experience designing and producing interactive experiences for console, mobile and social platforms. He has led teams at Sega, THQ, Berkeley Systems and Vivendi Universal and overseen both internal and external development.

John has extensive experience in creating custom interactive experiences for brands and oversaw the launch of the the TimePlay Preshow platform where he created original games for Ford, Toyota, Mazda, McDonalds, Canon and many others. He works closely with our studio partners and oversaw the creation of the world’s first interactive movie trailer for Lionsgate. He also designed and created TimePlay’s live Deal or No Deal interactive show for the cruise ship industry.

2fefeea Rick used his experience as a co-publisher and designer of a Montreal entertainment magazine as a springboard to a 15 year career in advertising where he went on to become the VP Creative Director at one of Canada’s largest agencies working on accounts such as Bell, Gillette, GM, Clairol, KLM and many others.

Rick’s love affair with technology then led him to co-founding an educational software company where he was the creative force behind several highly-successful lines of children’s software. Having received a total of over 190 national and international awards for his design excellence and business acumen, including the prestigious New York Festivals World Gold all categories and a nomination for a British Academy Award. At its peak his company was distributing over a hundred products to retail and had formed a licensing and distribution network that covered over 40 countries.

On the technology side Rick has over the years found himself overseeing the development of a game engine, e-commerce sites, mobile and social platforms and every so often actually coding a game.

Rick brings to TimePlay in his role as Director of Product Development an extensive amount of management, technology, creative and marketing savvy.

2fefeeaTodd M. Camhe has worked in the media and entertainment industries for over twenty years as a writer, producer and executive on a wide array of entertainment projects. He has successfully sold screenplays to Fox and Warner Bros. and a television pilot to FX. He wrote and produced independent feature films starring Fred Savage, Amy Adams, Barbara Hershey and Reid Scott, which won numerous awards at festivals across the United States and secured distribution through New Line Cinema and Showtime networks. He has produced content for Fox and Warner Bros., record labels Interscope and Shady Records, Vevo, recording artists Eminem, Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert, and global brands including The Limited, Samsung and Intel. Through his experience in content production Camhe has consistently levearged new and innovative distribution strategies.

Camhe holds a Masters Degree in Film from the Tisch School of the Arts at N.Y.U. and a Bachelors Degree from Trinity College.
